An Inside Look at the LED Starting Board Watching Over Athletes Aiming to Break World Records

The World Athletics Championships Oregon22 will be held in July 2022 at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon, U.S.A. This is the world’s premier sporting event where top athletes from around the world gather to challenge their own limits and records. Behind the starting line of the 100 Metres—the most-watched competition in the Championships—an LED signboard showing the TDK corporate logo will illuminate the athletes.

Predicting Anomalies Before Breakdowns Occur: Ultracompact Sensor Module Redefines the Status Quo of Equipment Maintenance

Factories and manufacturing sites need to prevent anomalies in machinery and equipment to minimize downtime. Productivity can be raised by predicting problems and performing maintenance preemptively, instead of reacting only after breakdowns have occurred. To facilitate this type of predictive maintenance, TDK has developed i3 Micro Module—the world’s first ultracompact sensor module featuring embedded edge AI.

TDK’s ICP-20100 is the Lowest Power Barometric Pressure Sensor to Achieve NextNav Certification

TDK Corporation (TSE:6762) announces that the InvenSense ICP-20100, the latest generation of the SmartPressure MEMS Barometric Pressure Sensors, is now in mass production and has been certified by NextNav. Launched in 2021, the NextNav Certified process independently verifies the InvenSense sensor accuracy measurements, by engaging directly with component manufacturers to rigorously test sensors in real world operating scenarios.

TDK offers compact SMT common mode chokes for low-voltage DC/DC converters

TDK Corporation presents three new B8272* series of compact EPCOS SMT common-mode chokes specially developed for low-voltage applications. They sustain voltages of up to 48 V AC (50/60 Hz) and 80 V DC, and continuous currents between 1.8 A and 19 A at an ambient temperature of 40 °C. The new series cover a range of inductance values between 0.59 mH and 5.6 mH.

40W and 60W 2” x 1” DC-DC converters have a 4:1 input range and six-sided shielding

TDK Corporation announces the introduction of the TDK-Lambda brand PXD40 and PXD60 series of 40 and 60W DC-DC converters. Packaged in the industry-standard 2” x 1” footprint, the units can operate over a wide 4:1 input range, accepting either a 9 to 36Vdc or 18 to 75Vdc input. Operation from 12V and 24V or 24V and 48V supply voltages reduces inventory carrying costs and improves part availability.
