Edge IPC Portfolio Adopts Intel Core 200S Processors

Vecow has announced the integration of the latest Intel Core 200S Series processors into its edge industrial PC (IPC) portfolio. The update introduces Intel’s P-core-only monolithic architecture, designed to deliver consistent performance, expanded connectivity and long-term reliability for edge computing and AIoT applications.

The processors—formerly known as Bartlett Lake 12P—feature up to 12 performance cores and 24 threads. Vecow’s upgraded platforms are intended for mission-critical environments including edge data centers, robotics, machine vision and smart infrastructure.

Deterministic Performance for Edge Applications
Edge computing environments often require predictable and low-latency performance. The P-core-only processor architecture ensures workloads are executed on homogeneous CPU cores, enabling consistent scheduling and predictable processing behavior.

This capability is particularly suited for cloud-native workloads and network functions running at the edge, including microservices, virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), encryption services, SD-WAN and firewall operations.

Compatibility with Existing Systems
Vecow’s platforms use the LGA 1700 socket, allowing compatibility with systems previously designed for 12th, 13th and 14th generation Intel Core processors.

This drop-in compatibility allows system integrators and equipment manufacturers to upgrade processing performance without redesigning hardware. The approach reduces development time and enables faster deployment of new edge computing solutions.

Industrial Reliability Features
The processors support Platform Tuning for Reliability (PTR), which allows system configurations to be optimized for industrial and embedded environments. This capability is designed to ensure stable operation under demanding conditions such as factory automation, robotics and smart city infrastructure deployments.

Vecow also provides long lifecycle support, with platforms designed for up to ten years of availability to support long-term industrial deployments.

High Bandwidth for Machine Vision and AI
The new platforms offer expanded data-handling capabilities required for AI and machine vision applications. Systems support DDR5-5600 memory and PCIe 5.0 connectivity, enabling high-speed data processing for sensor- and camera-based workloads.

Additional networking features include multiple 2.5-gigabit Ethernet interfaces with Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) and Intel Time Coordinated Computing (TCC), supporting real-time communication and synchronized processing across distributed edge devices.

Security and Lifecycle Management
The platforms also integrate the Intel vPro ecosystem, enabling advanced remote management and security capabilities. Features include remote platform erase functionality for secure data sanitization at end-of-life, as well as out-of-band management tools for system updates and maintenance.

Together, these capabilities position Vecow’s upgraded edge IPC portfolio to support high-performance, secure and long-lifecycle infrastructure for industrial automation, AI and distributed computing environments.
