Hikvision expands UPS portfolio with new Online double-conversion solutions

Hikvision has expanded its portfolio of professional infrastructure solutions with a new range of Online double-conversion UPS systems designed to ensure operational continuity, power protection and advanced integration in critical environments.

The new solutions were developed for applications where electrical stability, reliability and system protection are essential, including data centers, networking, video surveillance, banking, logistics and professional IT infrastructure.

Online double-conversion technology for critical loads
Hikvision Online UPS systems utilize double-conversion technology capable of delivering 0 ms transfer time and pure sine wave output. Unlike traditional backup UPS systems, the new units do not operate only during power outages, but continuously regenerate the power supply, functioning as a permanent active filter against disturbances, surges and grid fluctuations. According to Hikvision, this architecture helps protect highly sensitive equipment such as servers, NVRs and networking devices, reducing the risk of data loss, operational interruptions and failures caused by unstable power conditions.

The solution was also designed for environments characterized by heavy loads or unstable electrical networks, where power continuity and quality are critical.

Rack and Tower configurations up to 10 kVA
The new Hikvision Online UPS range is available in both Rack and Tower configurations. The 1, 2 and 3 kVA versions feature integrated internal batteries, while the 6 and 10 kVA models are available exclusively in Rack format and designed for connection to external battery modules. Entry-level and mid-range models use sealed 12 V / 9 Ah VRLA batteries, with configurations ranging from 2, 4 or 6 batteries depending on system power.

This setup enables immediate deployment and simplifies installation in professional environments.

Modular architecture for scalable autonomy
All models can be expanded through external battery packs, with support for up to four additional modules. Configurations support from 4 up to 20 batteries, allowing operating autonomy to be significantly extended according to infrastructure requirements. According to Hikvision, the modular architecture enables highly customizable solutions suitable for both standard installations and high-energy-demand infrastructures.

The systems are primarily designed for controlled indoor installations, including server rooms and professional rack cabinets.

Remote monitoring and intelligent integration
Hikvision Online UPS systems are designed for advanced integration into professional infrastructures thanks to support for SNMP cards and dry contacts. These features enable remote monitoring and integration with security systems, supervision platforms and building automation solutions. The multifunction LCD display provides real-time operational information, including voltage, load level, battery status and remaining runtime, simplifying diagnostics and preventive maintenance activities.

Hikvision highlights that the new UPS range represents a natural extension of its professional solutions ecosystem.

End-to-end solutions for professional markets
For distributors and system integrators, the new range enables the delivery of complete end-to-end solutions while reducing project complexity and minimizing incompatibility risks between different infrastructure components. Target applications include logistics, banking, critical infrastructure, professional video surveillance and high-availability IT environments.

Growing demand for power continuity in digital infrastructure
The launch reflects growing market demand for increasingly reliable power protection systems for digital infrastructure and mission-critical applications. With the expansion of distributed data centers, edge computing, intelligent surveillance and industrial automation, power continuity is becoming a strategic element for protecting operations and data. Companies are increasingly seeking UPS solutions capable not only of providing backup power, but also remote monitoring, intelligent integration and greater operational efficiency.

Additional Context: UPS infrastructure and competitive benchmarking not included in the original announcement
In the global professional UPS market, Hikvision competes indirectly with manufacturers such as APC by Schneider Electric, Eaton, Vertiv, Huawei Digital Power, Riello UPS and Socomec. Key competitive factors include energy efficiency, modularity, scalability, software integration, reliability and remote management capabilities.

The UPS segment continues evolving toward increasingly intelligent, modular and integrated solutions within IT ecosystems and security infrastructures.

The solution presented by Hikvision is differentiated primarily through the combination of Online double-conversion technology, modular architecture, integration with professional systems and positioning within the Hikvision ecosystem dedicated to security and digital infrastructure.
