ETAL and SIGA bring a magnetic presence to the Engineering Design Show
Current transformers and high voltage / high power transformers to be exhibited alongside full range of magnetic component solutions.
SIGA offers current transformers to meet all customer’s requirements for metering and protection purposesETAL, a world leader in magnetic components for power and signal applications and SIGA (Electronics) Ltd, the UK’s leading manufacturer of toroidal and bobbin wound components and associated assemblies will be at EDS showing the recently announced SIGA IEC conformant current transformer (CT) products alongside the full range of ETAL magnetic components.
SIGA recently announced that its current transformer (CT) products now conform to IEC regulations from design, through manufacturing to final test. Standards including IEC 61869 are addressed by specific conformance testing for current transformers, carried out in SIGA’s dedicated COVID-19-secure UK workspaces by specially trained operators. SIGA manufactures circular or rectangular type CTs, full block or split core, using a UL recognised semi rigid cast resin compound or an IP rated plastic box finish. Other finishes are available.
In addition, ETAL’s established range of magnetic components will be represented at EDS, which includes chokes, air coils, coils, current transformers, power transformers and signal transformers. The company specialises in custom products and in optimising designs but also offers a range of standard components. Its particular strength is high-end and reliable planar products such as custom designed transformers and inductors that combine superior performance with overall low cost. ETAL also has a long history in designing and manufacturing very small toroid products and complex modules. Often these products are made into common mode chokes but can also be found as compact high efficiency flyback transformers.
