Mastering control with ESCON2 Maxon: From basic fans to advanced logistics robots
With the introduction of the ESCON2 servo controllers and the user-friendly Motion Studio software, a new versatile platform is created. ESCON2 controllers utilize the latest technology in semiconductor and PCB manufacturing.
Here, engineers now have the tools to implement their most innovative ideas – or enhance existing devices. ESCON2 controllers utilize the latest technology in semiconductor and PCB manufacturing. As a result, they achieve an unprecedented power density and control performance in terms of torque and speed. Functionally, they seamlessly expand upom their previous versions and offer additional features. «The modular concept makes it possible to integrate our products smoothly into any application,» says Product Manager Philipp Marchand.
Flexibility for different applications
Thanks to their versatility, ESCON2 controllers can be used in a wide variety of applications. They are suitable for simple analog/digitally commanded standalone applications such as fans, scanners and pumps as well as for sophisticated CANopen-based systems in AGVs, hand tools or logistics and transport applications. Philipp Marchand adds: «This approach ensures that both simple and complex drives benefit from our technology.»
Motion Studio: Simple. Intuitive. Powerful
The newly developed Motion Studio software elevates the configuration and operation of drive systems to new heights. A user-friendly interface and powerful analysis tools make work much easier for engineers. Motion Studio supports the new ESCON2 products and all existing ESCON controllers, providing a unified tool for the entire drive range. «Thanks to this software, working with our products will be even easier and more efficient,» Philipp Marchand affirms.
