Vishay's four new series of TRANSZORB® and PAR® transient voltage suppressor now complement the Rutronik portfolio. The series 6DFNxxA, 6DFNxxxCA, T6NxxAand T6NxxxCA are available in the particularly flat and compact DFN3820A housings with wettable flanks, which allow for optimal use of the PCB space. They are ideal for automated assembly and offer moisture sensitivity level MSL-1 according to J-STD-020, as well as an LF peak of 260 °C. The components were developed to protect sensitive devices from voltage transients. Typical applications include battery management systems, central control units or DC/DC converters.
The four new series are also available in Vishay's small and ultra-low-profile 3.8 mm x 2.0 mm x 0.88 mm DFN3820A packages. The Wettable Flanks enable automatic optical inspection (AOI), eliminating the need for X-ray inspection.
The TVS are available as industrial-grade TRANSZORB® and automotive-grade PAR® versions, whereby the PAR® components are AEC-Q101 qualified and can withstand temperatures of up to 185 °C.
They tolerate peak pulse power of up to 600 W at 10 / 1,000 µs and have a low leakage current of only 1 µA. They feature matt tin plated leads that meet the requirements of the Class 2 JESD 201 whisker test and have excellent clamping ability with a maximum clamping voltage of 16.7 V to 70.1 V for the 6DFNxxA and T6NxxA series and 16.7 V to 137 V for the 6DFNxxxCA and T6NxxxCA models.
