Conrad Unveils Fluke LinkIQ Duo: A Powerful Cable, WiFi, and Network Tester

Fluke Networks enhances its LinkIQ Duo with advanced WiFi 6E troubleshooting, offering an all-in-one solution for cable, WiFi, and network testing to meet the demands of high-bandwidth networks.

Conrad Unveils Fluke LinkIQ Duo: A Powerful Cable, WiFi, and Network Tester

The extensive upgrading of the network infrastructure in favor of more bandwidth-intensive applications and more end devices has led to a huge increase in WiFi 6E access points. Whereas 1.5 million devices were delivered in 2022, by 2024 it was already 5.2 million. “The introduction of the advanced WiFi test capabilities in LinkIQ Duo accommodates the specific challenges and demands technicians are facing as a result of the rapid spread of WiFi 6E,” declares Susanne Storch, Product Manager at Conrad Electronic.

Cable testing functions with active network and WiFi tests
Functional testing is essential in both installation and troubleshooting in wireless networks. “The LinkIQ Duo Cable+WiFi+Network Tester now available on the Conrad Sourcing Platform means that time-consuming swapping and the use of multiple special tools is no longer necessary,” adds Susanne Storch. Here, all functions required for remedying WiFi connectivity and performance problems, identifying location and availability, and configuring access points are combined in one single package.

Easier application and lower costs
“When installing and troubleshooting networks and devices, our customers wanted an easier, more cost-effective way to manage active network testing,” said Mark Mullins, Product Marketing Manager and founding member of Fluke Networks.” LinkIQ combines the testing they need into one, affordable package that is simple to use and understand, ensuring each link of the connection between the WiFi user and the network works properly for maximum performance.”

Are the WiFi users connected to the network?
There are multiple applications available to guarantee the maximum performance of the network: testing of cable connectivity between network and access point up to 10 Gb/s, verifying of connectivity with the main devices, calculation of the maximum bandwidth with the help of frequency-based measurements, and conducting of Ipv4 and Ipv6 ping and Power over Ethernet tests are just a few of the many possibilities available when using the LinkIQ Duo. In addition, the device detects common configuration errors such as the use of an illegal channel for the detected region or a non-recommended channel, weak security settings, or access points that overlap with an adjacent access point – unless one is low power.

Also new on the market: Fiber Media Converter
Fluke Networks has also announced that the new Fiber Media Converter for LinkIQ is available. Fluke Networks’ new Fiber Media Converter (FMC) kits enable every LinkIQ to connect, understand and debug the fiber port connections by determining application, switch name, port name and VLAN and verifying connectivity using IP ping. The FMC includes the FiberLert™ Live Fiber Detector for checking the presence of fiber optic light and determining polarity.
