ROHM has developed an on-device learning AI chip (SoC with on-device learning AI accelerator) for edge computer endpoints in the IoT field. It utilizes artificial intelligence to predict failures (predictive failure detection) in electronic devices equipped with motors and sensors in real-time with ultra-low power consumption.

ROHM has signed a joint development agreement with Mazda Motor Corporation (Mazda) and Imasen Electric Industrial Co., Ltd., (Imasen) for inverters and SiC power modules to be used in the electric drive units of electric vehicles, including e-Axle.

During its fair presence at electronica 2022 in Munich, ROHM has honored FUTURE ELECTRONICS, a distributor of electronic and electro-mechanical components, with the “Distributor of the Year” award.

ROHM developed automotive-grade LDO regulator ICs: the BUxxJA3DG-C series (BU12JA3DG-C, BU15JA3DG-C, BU18JA3DG-C, BU25JA3DG-C, BU30JA3DG-C, BU33JA3DG-C). The devices are designed for automotive applications such as sensors for ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) which have become smaller and more powerful.

ROHM Group company LAPIS Technology, together with Global Antenna manufacturer Shanghai Amphenol Airwave, have established a cooperative framework. The purpose: providing wireless charging solutions for hearable and wearable devices that are trending towards greater compactness and sophistication.
