AAEON Pico-TGU4 delivers versatile performance and expansion options
Pico-ITX form factor provides compact size and low power consumption.
The AAEON Pico-TGU4 single board computer for embedded computing applicationsEmbedded systems and display solutions provider, Review Display Systems (RDS) has announced the availability of a new Pico-ITX single board computer (SBC). The AAEON Pico-TGU4 SBC is powered by Intel’s latest 11th Generation Core G processors (formerly Tiger Lake) which deliver excellent performance and flexibility for embedded computing applications.
The Pico-TGU4 offers users the choice of the latest Intel Core i7, i5, i3 and Celeron processors which deliver up to 15 to 20% improved performance than previous generation processors. These processors support a range of technologies including on-board TPM 2.0 and in-band ECC. The board features 32GB of on-board LPDDR4x memory, and SATA III (6.0 Gbps) storage.
One of the key features of the Pico-TGU4 are its two expansion slots. The M.2 2280 slot (PCIe 4.0) supports next generation AI accelerators, and the full-sized Mini Card slot supports extra storage, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. The Pico-TGU4 also features dual LAN ports, one Intel i225 2.5 Gbps port for ultra-fast LAN connectivity, and an Intel i219 port with support for Intel vPro, enabling remote system monitoring.
Peter Marchant, embedded division manager, RDS said “The Aaeon Pico-TGU4 offers many options for different levels of processor performance combined with its strong expansion capability. It provides a highly capable, but no less flexible and versatile embedded computing platform.”
The Pico-TGU4 also implements AAEON’s proprietary connector, the BIO (Board to Board I/O) connector, which enables enhanced customisation when connecting daughter boards, providing the Pico-TGU4 with excellent expansion capability.
A wealth of peripheral support is available with a total of eight USB connections, two serial port headers, 8-bit GPIO and I²C/SMBUS connectors. Embedded DisplayPort (eDP) and HDMI 2.0 outputs support external displays of up to 4K resolution.
With external mechanical dimensions of just 7.2cm x 10cm, the Pico-ITX form factor is the smallest industry-standard SBC. The lightweight board combined with compact physical dimensions enables the computing platform to be used in small, confined spaces.
The AAEON Pico-TGU4 single board computer is now available immediately from Review Display Systems.
