EASY-TO-INSTALL SHEET METAL CASE TOLA BY Fischer Elektronik

Various electronic devices which belong to one product series but are offered in different case sizes due to the electronic components installed in them, require appropriate cases. For those applications Fischer Elektronik offer their customers universal sheet metal cases with freely selectable dimensions now.

The new TOLA cases consist of two galvanised sheet steel half-shells (1 mm material thickness), which are joined together with the aid of integrated lugs and only two or one fastening screw. The sockets with M3 internal thread with likewise freely definable spaces, which are firmly integrated in the lower shell, are used for direct mounting of a PCB or mounting plate.

Case designs with integrated ventilation slots are available for applications where electronic devices with a high power dissipation are used or where the heat dissipation of the installed electronic components is particularly difficult due to a high component density. The use of galvanised steel sheets with electrically conductive properties and additionally closely spaced interlocking of the lower and upper shells enables the cases to be used for EMC purposes.

A decorative appearance of the case series TOLA is achieved by the powder-coated surfaces. The cases are available in three standard colours: ultramarine blue (similar to RAL 5002), silver grey (similar to RAL 7001) and pearl white (similar to RAL 1013). In addition to the freely dimensionable designs, four different standard size variants are also available. The scope of delivery of the case includes the top and bottom shells, screws for fastening the PCB and for connecting the top and bottom shells. If required, various device feet from Fischer Elektronik's standard portfolio can be used.

In addition to the standard and customisable designs, the new cases can be produced with other surfaces as well as with printing and other special machinings.
