KONTRON ANNOUNCES PRODUCTS FEATURING THE LATEST 12TH GEN INTEL® CORE™ PROCESSORS

The 12th Gen Intel® Core™ desktop processors with performance hybrid architecture, combining Performance-cores and Efficient-cores into a single die with Intel® Thread Director, enable IoT use cases with increased single-thread and multi-thread performance compared to the previous generation.

Intel® UHD Graphics 770 driven by Intel® Iris Xe Architecture supports display virtualization and up to four independent displays. Support for PCIe 5.0 ready with 16 lanes, PCIe 4.0 and DDR5/DDR4 memory combined with security and manageability features and AI enablement help boost productivity and fuel future innovation in IoT applications. Different SKUs provide outstanding multi-threaded performance with up to 16 cores and 24 threads at 35 to 65W and long-term availability. It is the first Intel® Core™ desktop processor series with real-time capabilities, 1 GbE and 2x 2.5GbE as well as Time Sensitive Networking (TSN) capabilities.

Due to socketed CPUs the products are suitable for various applications in industrial, medical, kiosk/retail, ticketing/vending, gambling and amusement/entertainment sectors.

According to Intel®'s launch schedule, the first motherboards from the Extended Lifecycle Series and the Industrial Series with various chipsets will be available in the second quarter of 2022. Further variants will follow immediately.

The COM-HPC® client SIZE C (160mm x 120mm) design with the new processor series is planned for end of Q2/2022 and will accommodate up to 512GB DDR5 via 4x SODIMMs.
