Cyntec exhibits innovative automotive power electronics at Electronica 2024 to help drive efficiency in electric vehicles
Cyntec, a world-leading provider of power magnetics and passive components, will showcase its latest advancements in automotive power, signal and resistive current sensing solutions at Electronica 2024. Cyntec stand is set to display SMD chokes, high-power magnetics and shunt modules that enhance vehicle functional capabilities while maintaining cost efficiency. Cyntec is at the forefront of this evolution, providing innovative hardware solutions that empower our customers to achieve their sustainability and performance goals.
“The rapid growth of Software-Defined Vehicles drives significant changes in this area, as automotive manufacturers seek to expand vehicle capabilities while maintaining cost efficiency. By integrating Cyntec's innovative solutions into ECU applications, OBC, DC-DC, traction inverters and BMS systems, our automotive customers can enjoy benefits such as improved power efficiency and signal conditioning, even enabling faster charging and extended battery range for e-Mobility applications”, said Christian Gellmann, Automotive Segment Business Manager, Cyntec EMEA. “Using our expertise and leading position in designing magnetic and passive components with advanced electromagnetic, mechanical and thermal simulation tools, Cyntec enables efficient power conversion, size and weight reductions and accurate current sensing, while adhering to AEC-Q and extended reliability standards”.
In its product demonstration area, Cyntec will reveal its latest advancements:
• AC-DC filter for traction inverters
A new state-of-the-art EMI filter for traction, leveraging insulated over-molding technology, offers a 35% size reduction and 30% weight reduction. This compact design is perfect for electric vehicles and EMI-shielding purposes applications.
• Molding PFC (Power Factor Correction) choke
With Cyntec’s ultra-dense molding core, where the whole choke area contributes to magnetics properties, this PFC choke reduces system size and weight. It also has the advantage of uniform temperature distribution. This component can be used for 800V/ 22kW onboard charger applications.
Cyntec team invites expo participants to visit its stand A6-203 from November 12th to 15th and learn how automotive ECU and xEV applications can benefit from its advanced power electronic component solutions.
