DELTA LOGIC offers compact device for complete bus physics testing
The compact PROFIBUS tester BC-700 from DELTA LOGIC is a powerful measuring device for diagnosis and troubleshooting in PROFIBUS networks.
It is battery-operated and therefore mobile. Users can use the device to evaluate bus physics and bus communication and also carry out cable tests.
The master simulator integrated in the PROFIBUS tester BC-700 also enables tests of the bus physics without the PLC having to be ready for operation. In this way, individual bus participants can also be tested for possible deviations and errors. The cable test function can be used to check the cabling of individual PROFIBUS DP segments: Interfering sources of reflection within the line can be quickly identified, and the bus terminating resistors of a cable segment can also be tested for correct installation.
Thanks to its versatility, the PROFIBUS tester BC-700 can shorten commissioning times. During ongoing system operation, it helps to ensure availability with preventive checks and to quickly localize any faults that occur. Many other functions and features, such as the high-contrast color display with oscillogram display or the creation of protocols and test reports, contribute to the high level of user convenience of the measuring and analysis device.
Compact, mobile, with extensive standard equipment
The measuring device weighs approx. 750 grams, the compact dimensions are 35 x 220 x 110 mm (measuring device without cable). A key feature of the mobile PROFIBUS tester BC-700 is the power supply via the internal rechargeable battery (type PA-L27.K02), which is already inserted on delivery. If a new battery pack is required, it can be easily replaced and installed without special knowledge. Alternatively, it is also possible to use the PROFIBUS Tester BC-700 with an external power supply unit. The standard interface of the device is RS485. It is operated via four function keys plus scroll wheel and a central pushbutton in the middle - or alternatively via PC/notebook. The device itself works autonomously, all functions are available even without a connected computer.
In addition to the detailed operating instructions and a data carrier with driver and PC software, the measuring and testing device is supplied with a wide-range power supply unit with mains connection cables for Europe and the USA. The device case also contains a D-Sub adapter cable (RS485 ACA-NN-006032 “Standard”) and a USB cable (2 m). A terminal block for trigger input/output is also included. The case already has suitable recesses for optional accessories such as a spare battery, an adapter for testing PROFIBUS PA networks and a leakage current clamp - the latter is available directly from DELTA LOGIC.
