In 2024, Fischer Elektronik GmbH & Co. KG, a leading manufacturer of connectors and other electromechanical components, launched its first sustainable PCB connector on the market. This series has since been continued and a large number of male headers are available in the sustainable f.ECOcon version.
Motivated by the need to protect the environment and conserve resources, Fischer Elektronik started production of a green connector alternative. Based on this and the positive feedback from long-standing customers, the series has been expanded. Starting with the first pin header SL 22 164... G ECO Fischer Elektronik is now expanding its male header portfolio with further ECO designs with the article numbers:
- SL 2 … G ECO
- SL 21 THR … G ECO
- SL4 … G ECO
- SL 19… G ECO
- SL 6 … G ECO
- SL 14 … G ECO
- SL 11 SMD … G ECO
- SL 17 SMD … G ECO
- SL 28 SMD … G ECO
- SL 16 SMD … G ECO
This f.ECOcon series covers all applications for male headers with a pitch of 2.54 mm. The different contact lengths and designs of straight, angled and sandwich male headers allow flexible and customised arrangement of PCBs in relation to each other. The connectors can be soldered via surface mounting, through-hole plating or through-hole reflow technology - with the variety of the f.ECOcon series, any plug connection is possible. If you are faced with a special challenge that exceeds our broad standard range, we will develop and manufacture your customised solutions directly at our site in Lüdenscheid.
Characterised by an insulating body made of resource-saving and certified regranulate, the best flame protection class (UL94 V-0) not only ensures safety on the PCB, but also a greatly reduced CO2 footprint. The reduced gold layer still enables the best conductivity and corrosion protection for at least 20 mating cycles. In addition, with the current volatile development of the gold price, it ensures potential savings in your electronics. Our f.ECOcon series stands for a sustainable future in connection technology.
