Anritsu Corporation will join the upcoming ECOC 2025 in Copenhagen, Denmark, September 29 to October 1 (Stand C4335), to demonstrate solutions to the challenges arising from the explosive growth in global data traffic. Driven by the unprecedented expansion of AI applications, ultra-high-definition video streaming, and the development of autonomous driving systems, exponential growth in data requirements has accelerated the evolution of high-speed digital interfaces like PCI Express® (PCIe®), USB, and DDR.
The surge in generative AI and machine learning services has particularly intensified demand for faster, more efficient optical transceivers for server-to-server communications in hyperscale data centers and next-generation 6G networks. To address critical requirements for ultra-low latency and minimal power consumption, breakthrough technologies such as co-packaged optics and photonics-electronics convergence are rapidly advancing toward commercial deployment, with the silicon photonics market projected to reach significant scale as these integrated solutions transform network infrastructure.
All-in-One BERT Support Evaluation of Ethernet ASICs and High-Speed Buses
Anritsu's MP1900A Signal Quality Analyzer-R is a high-performance Bit Error Radio Tester (BERT) designed to address signal integrity challenges in high-speed digital systems. Its 8 slots modular design provides flexibility for various standards and measurement needs, and allows for future upgrades. The continuous updates of modules like Pulse Pattern Generator (PPG), Error Detector (ED) and Jitter/Noise Generator enhance its capability significantly, supporting signal integrity analysis for ever-faster devices.
High-speed Measurements with Unmatched Optical Sensitivity.
The BERTWave MP2110A is an all-in-one instrument with built-in BERT (Bit Error Rate Tester) and Sampling Oscilloscope (Eye pattern analysis) designed for system testing and manufacturing inspection of 10G to 800G optical modules.
It helps increase line productivity and cuts costs. The new enhanced version Anritsu showcase at ECOC offers an increased 60GHz bandwidth, allowing 200G/lane optical signals analysis. Parallel analysis for up to 4 optical channels meets the latest development requirements for 800Gbps and 1.6 Tbps transmission.
Multi-core Fibers for Next-Generation Optical Communications
With the growing adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud services, the demand for higher transmission capacity in optical submarine cables and data centre interconnects is rapidly increasing. Consequently, recent R&D has focused on weakly coupled multi-core optical fibres with multiple independent cores.
After evaluating four validated measurement approaches for inter-core crosstalk assessment in next-generation multi-core optical fiber systems, and finding exceptional consistency, Anritsu developed a new MCF evaluation solution. With Anritsu's new advanced OTDR technology, ECOC visitors will see live measurements on a four-core weakly coupled fiber with standard 125 µm cladding diameter.
This demonstration will showcase measurement methodologies supporting the multi-core fiber technology for higher-capacity optical networks, and enabling comprehensive testing capabilities for application needs from R&D and manufacturing to field installation and maintenance.
Latest Generation Pluggable Coherent Network Transmission
Modern high-speed transport infrastructure is undergoing a significant transformation as carriers migrate from traditional short-to-medium haul transponders to advanced transceiver solutions that leverage coherent transmission technology.
The Anritsu MT1040A 400G Network Master Pro delivers comprehensive support for cutting-edge coherent transceivers, up to 400G, OpenZR+, OpenZR+ Bright, and OpenROADM ZR+ standards. Key capabilities encompass ZR+ Multi-Client functionality.
The MT1040A's robust feature set offers a powerful and easy to operate Analyzer for in field operations, and also makes it a valuable tool in research laboratories working on emerging interoperability standards and network management protocols, where it facilitates network modeling and validation testing for the latest transmission technologies.
Rethinking Communication Quality in Virtual Networks
Ensuring low latency and reliable Quality of Service (QoS) across increasingly complex networks is a growing challenge especially with the rise of virtualization, mobile connectivity, and cloud integration. Anritsu's vTester offers a software-based solution to validate end-to-end (E2E) network performance by accurately measuring latency and key QoS parameters across access, metro, and core networks, including data center interconnects.
Engineers can test between vTester instances or combine vTester with MT1000A/MT1040A to assess both fixed and mobile networks, including 5G/LTE, validating SLAs under full load conditions. This setup is particularly valuable for troubleshooting critical use cases like dynamic communication quality analysis from Data Centers’ Virtual Machines providing high speed data services. Additionally, vTester enables performance measurement between mobile devices and virtual servers, replicating cloud access scenarios for data-intensive applications supporting engineers in designing, verifying, and optimizing resilient network infrastructures.
OIF at ECOC 2025: Eliminating Barriers and Accelerating Innovation Through Industry-Wide Interoperability
OIF is returning to ECOC 2025 with a comprehensive multi-vendor demonstration featuring 35 participating companies that showcases interoperability across key optical communications technologies including 100ZR, 400ZR, 800ZR, Multi-span Optics, various CEI standards, Co-Packaging, CMIS, and Energy Efficient Interfaces. The demo spans OIF's core technical domains and includes major industry players from system vendors to component suppliers, test equipment manufacturers, and semiconductor companies, with a notable enhancement this year being CMIS operating within a live, simulated network environment rather than as a standalone configuration. This demonstration reinforces OIF's position as the industry's leading collaborative forum for accelerating the development and deployment of open, scalable network infrastructure solutions that deliver real-world value to operators and system vendors alike.
