Toshiba Electronics Europe GmbH expands its standard digital isolator lineup with the introduction of the DCL52xx00 series of dual-channel high-speed digital isolators for industrial equipment. Comprising four devices, the series supports reliable operation with high common mode transient immunity (CMTI) of 100kV/µs (typ.) and high-speed data transfer of 150Mbps (maximum).
The channel configurations of the DCL520C00 and DCL520D00 are two forward channels, while those of the DCL521C00 and DCL521D00 are one forward and one reverse channel. With the addition of these new products, Toshiba’s lineup of 14 digital isolators, which includes the quad-channel DCL54xx01 series, offers engineers a wide selection of channel configurations.
The DCL52xx00 series uses Toshiba’s proprietary magnetic coupling type isolated transmission method to achieve high electrical noise immunity and stable high-speed isolated data transfer with a low pulse width distortion of 0.8ns (typ.) and a propagation delay of 10.9ns (typ.) This technology enables reliable, real-time control and communication in harsh industrial environments by blocking high-voltage transients and noise. The new products are suitable for multi-channel high-speed communication applications such as I/O interfaces with UART communication.
Toshiba has already begun mass production of standard digital isolators, not only for industrial equipment but also, with the recent release of the AEC-Q100-compliant dual-channel standard digital isolators, for automotive applications. In the future, the company plans to expand its package lineup and increase the number of channels in both areas. Toshiba will continue to provide high-quality isolation devices and photocouplers that support the reliability and real-time data transmission required by industrial and automotive equipment.
