ams AS5x47U position sensors are optimized to support BLDC motor communication for challenging and safety-critical automotive applications. These high-resolution redundant rotary position sensors provide fast absolute angle measurement over a full 360° range. These devices feature a 150mW power dissipation rating, 100mA input current, and up to 7VDC supply voltage.

The ams AS5147U is an intelligent magnetic rotary position sensor chip for use in electric motors that run at speeds up to 28,000rpm. The new AS5247U is a dual stacked-die version, which provides the redundancy required for the most demanding ASIL D-rated functional safety applications.

Applications for the AS5x47U position sensors include electrical power steering, transmission, brakes, and starter/alternator.
