Mouser Electronics Now Stocking TI AWR2243 FMCW Transceivers for Automotive Radar Systems
November 4, 2020 - Mouser Electronics, Inc., the industry's leading New Product Introduction (NPI) distributor with the widest selection of semiconductors and electronic components, is now stocking the AWR2243 frequency-modulated continuous wave (FMCW) transceiver from Texas Instruments (TI).
The TI AWR2243 FMCW transceiver is a self-contained, single-chip solution that simplifies the implementation of automotive radar sensors in the 76 GHz to 81 GHz frequency band. The transceiver offers unprecedented levels of integration in a minimal form factor.
The transceiver is based on TI's low-power 45nm RFCMOS process, enabling a monolithic implementation of a 3TX, 4RX system with built-in PLL and analog-to-digital converters. Simple programming model changes can allow a wide variety of sensor implementation (short, mid, long) with the possibility of dynamic reconfiguration for enabling a multimode sensor.
The AWR2243 transceiver is provided as a complete platform solution, including an available reference hardware design, software drivers, sample configurations, an API guide, and user documentation. The transceiver is ideal for low power, self-monitored, ultra-accurate radar systems in the automotive space.
